This is one of the days that I love. I get to watch my two precious grandchildren. A soon to be 2 year old girl and a 6 month old boy. This really keeps me stepping. I'm trying the potty training on the 2 year old and working on the rolling over for the 6 month old. Oh how funny this is. Remembering that 30 years ago I was in just about the same situation, but 30 YEARS YOUNGER.
So here's how today went.
I tried to crochet a few more of the newborn hats.....didn't happen.
I needed to clean up the kitchen and do dishes........didn't happen.
Talked to a friend from Pa........YES, but only for a few minutes since it was time for 2 year old to eat.
Really needed to cut some fabric.....today's not over yet.
Plans for dinner......2 year old decided she wanted to stay and eat so leftover spaghetti is always good.
Shopping for birthday gifts....putting that off till tomorrow evening.
And I wouldn't change any part of my day. As my mom always said, dirt will always be there, babies grow up too quickly. Play with them when you can. So tonight I'll clean up the kitchen, do the dishes, cut out a small tote bag, heat up the spaghetti she left, make my shopping list, call my friend back, and probably crochet a few hats.
And, oh by the way, I get to do this again tomorrow. I am so lucky. Thanks kids for giving us the chance to do to you what Gramma Rose and Pap Pap did to us. Love ya.
One of my dollies ( and Jayne, you'll love her) is featured in a Treasury on Etsy

Hopefully, this blog will offer some insight to me and my life. You may find me rambling on about some topic, maybe about growing up in a steeltown, or even offering advice for new parents, new grandparents, old friends and new hobbies. Just join in and comment if you want.

If you're looking for some really cute items, if I say so myself, check out my items for sale at my online site. As some of you know, I've been quilting and sewing for many, many, years and my daughters finally convinced me that I should sell my items online. I've done consignment to gift shops and sold at craft shows, but this is all so new to me. Well, in December, I decided to give it a try.
So here's my site. I'll post pictures of more items tomorrow. As always, thanks for viewing.
